FAQ’s

What is Millennial Genie?

It’s my own blog, some original content, a wordpress site that can help millennials with personal finance, or info about getting started in digital marketing, especially social media plus some other fun topics that are my own personal opinions.

It’s a website that started in 2016 by myself, Rivka Frimer, it’s a combination of your fave themes, like top ten lists and “how-to’s” plus lots of pop culture references too.

It’s my own way of showcasing what I love to write about and what I believe can be most helpful to millennials in this day and age too.

What’s the best thing about working with a Millennial Blogger?

The person behind the scenes is the best thing about it! I make everything with a slightly personalized touch so that it has a good vibe coming across to every reader. There is flexibility available so that your audience can be catered for. Our generation is known for being diverse, open minded, and tolerant. I’d like to think I bring all of this to the table to fairly represent your average millennial reader.

How can I request a guest posting or a blog on the site or to your own site?

I am ALWAYS looking for new opportunities to share my own content and new bloggers to collaborate with. I’m all ears, especially for bloggers who have something really opinionated to write about. All you need to do is send me an email via the contact page, or alternatively connect with me on Facebook or Twitter. @millennialgenie

If I want to stay updated on new blogs, where do I go?

It’s all directly on the home page. Depending on what’s going on in the world of Millennials, my goal is to share at least 3 posts a month. I share each one on all my social media, so that’s the best way to keep updated on what’s new on the site.

Who’s behind the scenes and who is the real genie?

Time to get personal! My name is Rivka Frimer. I started the blog as a side project because I wanted to experiment a bit on my own with wordpress and also social media. In fact, social media was set up before the site itself! It’s myself who publishes and posts it all, but I am always looking for contributors and guest bloggers who want to have their content on here too.

Why is the word millennial plastered all over this site?

It’s audience demographics are of the millennial age gap and it’s targeted mainly at people who are interested in reading about millennial lifestyles. The best way to do these things is regarding the key words, and for Millennial Genie…well stating the obvious – yes – MILLENNIAL is in fact the key word.

If I want to hear more or read about other millennial topics, can I request this?

In a word – YES! All kinds of feedback is welcomed with open arms. I am all ears when readers and visitors want to find out more about certain topics. You can leave comments on the blog post itself, or feel free to contact me and I will keep you updated!

I need help getting started with my own blog! Can you help me?

More recently, because Millennial Genie is becoming more popular, it’s time for me to share my story. I read a lot of blogs along the way to get things kicked off,and I know how much it helps to get some answers from a personal perspective. If you have an idea or your own vision of what you want to get started with, then make your move, get in touch and let’s get the ball rolling. Whether you are starting from scratch or have something more established, I am happy to help in any way that I can.

Where did the name “Millennial Genie” come from?

Ahh, saved the best for last.  I made the Facebook page first, before actually setting up the site, because I needed to experiment with Facebook’s business manager for my job back in 2016. So, to make a Facebook page of your own, you need your very own original username handle. I was really brainstorming, and running out of ideas. I worked in an office where I felt like the fact that I was doing social media seemed a bit…snowflakey. I constantly felt like I had the word “MILLENNIAL” stamped over my head. Safe to say, I also love Aladin, it’s my favourite Disney movie, and I generally just whipped out of thin air, this idea of Millennial Genie.
