WHEN WILL IT END?
A while ago Bitcoin was an annoying thing placed on the internet that wouldn’t go away. It was a word we all heard and kind of knew, but would never be able to describe it because it’s a word and a thing but it isn’t actually anything physical. I believe there was a car boot sale where you could buy Hanukkah Gelt that they labelled as Bitcoin. (Because it’s a BITE coin)
It’s like going out with the Sims for lunch today and then tonight everyone will ask what you ate, and noone knows what it tastes like because you didn’t eat it so therefore you cannot describe it.
Moving on. Millennial’s and Finance – These 2 words are dragging themselves through the mud and it’s a never ending story of why we don’t have any money and why we aren’t buying houses and yet we are more likely to talk about salaries than any other generation.
Then all of a sudden a thing from 2008 (2007?) cropped up and started everyone panicking about a piece of paper or a document that may or may not mean a lot of money to us all.
So when Bitcoin crawled out of the dust and presented itself to us a year or so ago (don’t judge on bad dates) everyone got very nostalgic and excited about what could have become something
However, for the rest of us, who still don’t care and don’t like to take risks of any sort, it is bothering us. When will it end? I hear you – let’s make some money fast because every other idea is drying up. It’s like hearing about SARS and Anthrax coming up over the royal family all over again but it was maybe 2004 that all of that was around.
FOCUS! Bitcoin and Crypto are all the rage right now, and creating a huge amount of work for millennial’s, and frankly it wouldn’t hurt to start learning about it all, even if you have no intention of buying it.
Pop Culture Reference.
There’s an episode where in TBBT where the boys discover they might have a bitcoin fortune to find, they all run around trying to find a document and everything gets a bit dramatic. If TBBT crew can get enough energy to write an episode about Bitcoin then I think we can scrape up enough energy to learn something about it too.
