8 reasons why 2018 is the year to think out loud!

2016 was what everyone was calling the worst year and everyone was counting down to when it was all over, excited about 2017. Then 2017 came and everyone was waiting for the next man of Hollywood to be accused of goodness knows what. Now it’s 2018 and goodness knows what that’s going to bring. Now is a good a time as any to voice your thoughts about what the future holds.

  1. More hot topics are trending than ever before. The media has created a circus of trends like the #MeToo going on. Everyone has an opinion on these topics and there’s no reason why you should voice your own opinion too.
  2. Tolerance is cool now. We are all speaking our minds and there’s no excuse to hide in the corner. By everyone becoming more tolerant and accepting, it’s prime time now to get started.
  3. Social media was driving us all insane for a bit in 2017. Us poor millennials throwing our hands up in the air wondering when Facebook will be trending number 1 on Twitter with #FacebookDown. Or going on Insta to see screenshots of Twitter saying “something’s not right”. Or everyone back on Myspace sharing links of their Instagram with everyone’s profiles full of grids of broken down screenshots because Instagram is having its time out. You get the idea. That’s why they invented Reddit.
  4. It’s been said that 2019 will be almost 2020 and a new “twenties” means we will be all like Gatsby with morals are lower and skirts are higher with wild parties going on. That means we have about 2 years to prepare for the hangovers of a lifetime. So all the binge drinking and whatever other sensitive topics that we are all questioning, now is a good a time as any to bring it to the surface and say it out loud.
  5. Ever heard of Cosmo telling you to go to sleep in a wet t-shirt? Ever heard Man Repeller telling you to go to work in a pair of pink fluffy slippers? Every read Buzzfeed rolling your eyes as far back into your skull as possible just so you don’t go blind from their overuse of the words “basic” and “extra”? No? Well if you don’t tell them now, you might never be able to.
  6. A.I is coming for us and we need to have back-up plans in case things go wrong and I don’t feel like waiting around for Will Smith to save us all. We really need to yell it from the rooftops because no amount of tin foil hats are going to save us.
  7. Too many pictures of your lunch and cats on Instagram? It’s frustrating but we do it anyways to document it all in case in 2 years time, we go to that restaurant and don’t remember what we had. Or your poor cat doesn’t have it’s favorite toy anymore and you cannot make a boomerang about it. Well, Insta won’t be around forever either. Screw the people who don’t like it. I have my reasons for posting all these pictures and I will continue to do so. It’s my own version of a food diary and new format of a photo album, if it counts as thinking out loud, then so be it.
  8. No brain filter can be a good thing. Sometimes. If we all spoke our minds a bit more, it will get ugly, but a hike up on the meter for communication is kind of what we need right now! The brain filter of Suits- Harvey Specter- wow, what I would give to read this! Over to Netflix now.
