10 reasons why you deleted someone from Facebook.

It’s 2017. There’s no excuses anymore for  NOT deleting someone on Facebook. Unfollow them… SURE!

Facebook etiquette is thrown out the window. Let’s EMBRACE IT!

Here are my top 10 (call it what you want) excuses/reasons/justifications for removing someone from Facebook.

1) You are annoying and are infuriating me. Even if I unfollow you –  I want to get the point across that I dont like you.
2) I want to dump you before you dump me.
3) We don’t say hi in public, therefore why do we have each other on Facebook?
4) We are the same age. I am insanely jealous of your accomplishments despite us growing up in the same circumstances. Deleting you makes it seem like it’s not really happening.
5) You are no longer in my life, nor will I ever probably see you again. By deleting you, I will have closure on that part of my life too.
6) I dont like your religion/ethnic group (whatever) and by having you on Facebook, it seems I am accepting/tolerating and agreeing with you. And I dont.
7) I need to make a bold, brash statement that you need to know you aren’t cute/cool/funny/likeable. By deleting you it makes it clearer that you are out of my life and I made it happen.
8) Reality fall out. Nothing to do with Facebook itself but there’s no reason to call us “friends” anymore.
9) I only kept you here because I was friends with you in school/college/work and I needed your help/gossip. Now that we are no longer in each others lives, there’s no need for that.
10) I know there is an unfollow button. But by deleting you I can pretend I didnt realize that. And then make excuses for not knowing what you were up to. Even though I will stalk you from time to time.

Pop culture reference!

Remember in “National Treasure”, Nicholas Cage says that his wife Abigail says “so” a lot? Saying “so” a lot is irritating. So is saying “apparently” and “basically”. One time I got told off for this. So, in relation to deleting Facebook friends, the “so” over usage is irritating and I would consider deleting someone from Facebook for this petty reason.
