Enough of the smartphones and tablets. Where are the hover boards, the automatic shoe laces, and the hydrating microwave?
Also not to mention, the robots from iRobot, the Stepford wives, and in the 2nd charlie and the chocolate factory, the machine that makes the toothpaste. It’s 2016! Where is it all? Why is all the focus on smartphones?
30 years ago (or so), when we thought about futuristic technology, all we could imagine is Robo dogs being made in Japan. Flash forward to right now…all the focus is on smartphones and what parts of them can be eliminated.
The following items on this list are what would make a huge amazing impact on daily life in 2016. Millennial Consumerism is counting the seconds on our ancient iPhone watches…
- Remote Controlled Assistants. A combination of the robots in iRobot and a little bit of a Stepford housewife all rolled into one, but less immoral.
- Hygienic Money! This really does need to be invented yesterday! Think of all the germs. Imagine, we could have probably eliminated several diseases by now, if we had, either electronic money or some kind of coating on it all. We already have those bar code swipe things, but not EVERY person on the planet has access to these devices. How hard can it be to produce some chemical coated cash?
- Which leads me to number 3, relative to smartphones, but shouldn’t we be able to pay for everything with them? Not just avoiding the use cash, but more along the lines of, walking down the street and you see a homeless person , and you want to buy their dog some food. Can we please do that with our phones?
- Cars that are fueled by water. Hear it out – In BTTF Doc puts old garbage into the new Delorean to fuel it. It’s a great idea for going green, but in the future, it would be even better if it was water… we could use rain and all sorts…
- More BTTF reference. In the 50’s style cafe when he asks for a Pepsi free, the owner presumes Marty doesn’t wanna pay for anything. In the futuristic one, Marty’s son says what he wants and instantly, it appears it in front of him. We are all for not eliminating a personal touch to food services, but isn’t it time that a drive through service turned into a walk through service in regards to eating?
- What was going to be a Hoverboard turned into thing with wheels on it. Everything can have wheels on it. We are still waiting for our Hoverboards…
- Futuristic Healthcare that includes Beauty Treatments. Something similar to what they had in Oz. Whilst Tin Man and Scarecrow got buffed up and re stuffed (which is supposedly more healthcare than appearance) and yet, Dorothy and Lion got a meek make up freshen up and a bow in their hair, wouldn’t it be great to just combine the 2?
- Nap Pods. These appeared a while ago in a Japanese documentary about their own futuristic technology. These are more than ideal. The’re essential. We already have vending machines that we can use to restore our phone battery. How about a Nap pod to restore our own energy?
- Beauty Treatment VS YouTube Tutorials. It’s time that these 2 features were somehow intertwined. What they teach in beauty school and what we learn on a YouTube tutorial can also be matched. It’s time to start researching, more importantly investing in a way to combine self taught beauty experts on a screen, into less virtual reality.
- Therapy of sorts for those who moan about people spending too much time on their phones. Come on already, it’s too late to go back now, pick up your phone or go to a clinic and talk your way through why you haven’t found something good enough on your phone yet.
