Netflix to Millennials is what the Beatles were to the parents born in the 50’s. It’s becoming more and more acceptable to stay in every night and lounge around with wine and pizza, than it is to go out drinking and dancing.
What was once a student life culture that stopped after college, has now turned into an ongoing lifestyle hard to say no to. Scroll through any of your social media, especially twitter and insta, and you’ll see what you’re missing out on.
Meme after meme, screenshots and screenshots, quote after quote about “the best part of my day is taking off my bra” or “10 people eating Pizza wrong” aka Pizza being eaten with a knife and fork”.
Buzzfeed and Tumblr are essential culprits of making this the ideal choice for your free evening.
It’s interesting how we are going o look back on this in 10 years time and see what affect it had on us all. The thought that crops up most, and worse case scenario will be that the millennials slowed down reproduction so much, that the generation Z, is in actual fact an extinction of man kind. Perhaps it’s time we canceled all our Netflix accounts, deleted all our automated one click delivery for dominoes, and ignored the BOGOF on wine at our local corner store?
On second thought, if things go our way and we do manage to continue to populate the universe in our own way, we will undoubtedly be bringing up kids who will have the most fun and chilled out parents ever.
